Svein O. is a photographer based in Aalesund – Norway. He started practicing the art of photography in the middle of the 1990s, and has been dedicated to it ever since. This has now given him more than 25 years of experience in a wide range of categories. Since 2005 he has worked as a professional sports- and press photographer, covering hundreds of sports events and lots of news stories. In addition to sports, the photographer also passionately explores art photography, and he has been taking art classes at the University of Oslo to learn more about the art history and the great artists who shaped both modern and traditional art.

One of many highlights in his sport photography career so far has been covering the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia and FIFA World Cup 2019 U-21 in Poland. Another highlight has been following Erling Braut Haaland from his years in Molde FK, to his international break through with the 9 goal show versus Honduras in the U-21 World Cup, and then his home debut for Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park. A home debut where he scored two goals in front of the famous Yellow Wall.

For more than 15 years Svein O. has covered sports and news for NTB, Norways leading photo agency, delivering more than 32.000 images and world wide publishing.

Other major parts of his work are art photography, documentary photography and concert photography. In art photography he explores themes like landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and abstract work – both in the digital and analog mediums.
